Dr. Gupta graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2003. He pursued post graduate study at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from Michigan State University, followed by a Fellowship in Nephrology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Gupta has been practicing nephrology since 2010. Prior to joining the Renal Hypertension Center in 2016, Dr. Gupta was a faculty member at the University of Florida-Jacksonville for 6 years where he served as a core faculty member for the internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship programs. His interests include treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, kidney stones and glomerulonephritis.  He has special interest in treating certain genetic disorders that can lead to kidney disease such as Fabrys Disease.  Dr. Gupta serves on the medical advisory board for Network 7 which serves dialysis facilities and providers in the state of Florida.

In his leisure time he enjoys: cooking and photography.
